Mission
Statement
The
Polish Cultural Foundation, Inc. ("PCF") is a nonprofit public
charity engaged in charitable, civic, social, cultural and educational
activities. It is organized as a nonprofit corporation under Massachusetts
General Laws Chapter 180 (Massachusetts Attorney General's Account Number
- 037536), and it is exempt from federal taxation under Section 501(c)(3)
of the Internal Revenue Code (Federal I.D. No. 04-3405334). The PCF relies
primarily on volunteers to carry out its programs and, under its By-Laws,
its directors and officers receive no compensation (except for the
reimbursement of out-of-pocket expenses) for service in such capacity. The
primary objectives and purposes of the PCF are (a) to engage in charitable
and humanitarian activities generally, (b) to promote Polish culture,
language, traditions, and history, (c) to support the interests of the
Polish American community, (d) to establish a Polish cultural center, and
(e) to conduct such other activities and programs in connection with or in
furtherance of the foregoing purposes as may be carried out by a
nonprofit, Section 501(c)(3) corporation. Since its establishment in
January 1998, the PCF has carried out these purposes through a variety of
programs and events. Participation in all of these activities are open to
the public generally.
