This web site was prepared to help exhibit visitors to better remember and understand the content of the exhibit by expanding their knowledge of the history related to the May 3rd, 1791 Constitution. As such, the full original text and its translation into English are included. The study of this text allows for a more in-depth evaluation of this Constitution in relation to the social and political conditions in Europe and America in the 18th century and in the present. Hopefully, this catalogue also reflects the importance of the May 3rd Constitution in the history of Poland and its development of democracy.
